
Meet Pro-View & the Pro-View Team
Pro-View Real Estate was established in 1985 by business professionals who saw a need for a Colorado real estate firm who specialized in agriculture real estate sales and consulting. The individuals who formed Pro-View have experience in farming, ranching, farm/ranch agriculture lending, real estate sales, water, water law and people interaction.
Knowledge, integrity, honesty and trustworthiness are essential keys to business success. The people affiliated with Pro-View Real Estate have always believed in the power and importance of business knowledge, having integrity, being honest and trustworthy since it was founded
Today the principals at Pro-View Real Estate have close to a century of collective experience in real estate sales. They have assisted clients large and small, in good times and in bad. The principal's experiences have ranged across every possible real estate situation that one can imagine.
Karla L. Shriver - Karla has an agriculture and agriculture finance background.
Growing up, she assisted her family at their commercial cattle feedlot. She
has several uncles/aunts/cousins that still farm and ranch today where she
spent many summers. She worked for Federal Intermediate Credit Bank in its
Wichita corporate office before transferring to Southwestern Production Credit
Association (PCA) where she was vice president of Credit when she left. Southwestern
PCA was the largest short term agriculture lending institution in the Ninth
Farm Credit District and had a central administrative office in addition to
5 branch offices.
Today in addition to co-owning Pro-View Real Estate she farms with her husband, Doug. Karla and Doug farm over 900 + acres in partnership with Doug's brother and his wife. They raise potatoes and small grains. Karla also farms small sprinkler acreage herself in addition to the 900 + acres. She has raised potatoes, small grains, canola, triticalle seed production, and most recently, grass seed for forest/pasture reseeding programs.
She is currently serving or has served as a director on numerous boards including San Luis Valley (SLV) Federal Bank, SLV Water Conservancy District, SLV Stampede, Monte Vista Chamber of Commerce, SLV Ducks Unlimited, SLV American Red Cress, Citizen's for Colorado Water and Colorado Water Trust, Monte Vista Economic Development Authority.
Floyd L Getz - Floyd is a San Luis Valley native whose family had a very large
combination farm and ranch which he grew up and worked extensively on. He
has brothers who farm/ranch to this day. Floyd first began his real estate
career in 1962 where he has handled many diverse and complex real estate transactions.
In addition to selling real estate, Floyd owned and operated a trout fish
hatchery.
Floyd also has extensive knowledge in water and water related activities. He was a founding member of the San Luis Valley Water Conservancy District, and the first SLV Water Conservancy manager. He served on the Colorado Water Conservation Board of directors (CWCB), Rio Grande Water Conservation Board of directors, and as a Colorado Game and Fish Commissioner (DOW).
In addition to co-owning Pro-View Real Estate, Floyd is currently active as a water consultant to various ditches and water districts as needed. He has been involved with numerous local organizations including Monte Vista Economic Development Authority, SLV Ducks Unlimited, Rocky Mountain Elks, Colorado Fisheries, SLV Republican Party, etc.
Art Goehl- Art grew up in the San Luis Valley, and has been in the farming
and ranching business all of his life. He currently farms small grains and
alfalfa, and runs a medium sized cow herd. In addition to farming/ranching,
he is an independent appraiser of farm equipment, antiques and personal property
.
He began his career in auctioneering in 1960. Art has auctioned everything from real estate to farm equipment, construction equipment ,airplanes, precious metals, antiques, vehicles, boats, brands, livestock, furniture, etc. He began his real estate sales career in 1976.
Art served as a director on various local boards including a local school
board and ditch board. He does many benefit auctions for numerous non-profit
organizations.
